Lightbulb IE, Firefox, Safari or Opera? and properties of working apple II e

Yep its just another boring which browser to go for thread? but really I was looking at these websites by wordpress http://browsehappy.com and it made me actually download apple safari for windows. Finally a browser other than IE and Firefox which I have been using for sometime.

Im liking Safari keeping in mind that I have never used this before and an apple computer recently. This is besides the point that I still have one working APPLE II E that was released in the 80s and considered the first ever personal computer in the world. Cost my father around $15k back then --- I wonder what would it cost now? any ideas?

Anyways back to the browser bit? what do you folks use and why? Do you think IE is as insecure as its depicted to be on the online media?

IE7 is much more secure than earlier versions. I don't think it's nearly as insecure as it's painted by bloggers and the like.

Opera is a brilliant browser. It was the first that was almost fully standards compliant. Even now many CSS constructs are rendered better in Opera than in Firefox. Opera is customizable with plugins, and is both faster and uses less memory than Firefox.

$15k? no. Maybe $1500 or $2500. You might even be able to stretch it to $3k. But not $15k.

My mom was the computer teacher at the school I went to. We had the Apple II+ at first (with the optional 64K memory package). We then had an Apple IIe with the Duo Disk Drives and Color Monitor. That second system I believe was about $2500.
