    Talking Importing an SQL database

    Hello,

I am trying to move over a site for one of your new clients but to do so I need to move an sql database over. When in PHPMyAdmin I am presented with permission errors whenever I attempt to import it.

Can someone get in touch with me about this asap? The client has already transitioned to your server! Unfortunately this means that their site won't be fully functional until this is completed.

email - lane [at] no spamming me zigzap.com

    Thanks,
    Lane

PHPMyadmin should work for small dbs (but you didn't say how big it is). Anyway, just upload it and have tech support import it.

The database is only 110kb big but phpmyadmin is informing me of my accounts permission being denied to upload/import any database.

Denied to import any database, or this particular database? I ask, because depending upon how PHP was run at your last host, it could be a file ownership and/or permissions issue.

Go in through Cpanel at first under the MySql Manager, create the database, naming it as you see fit and assign appropriate permissions to an access account. Next, go in through PhpMyAdmin and run your Sql filler script or whatever other import method you are using to fill this database with the appropriate data.
