I like oscommerce, but the theme are hard to edit, it did not have a directory to put theme, unlike zen cart.

The theme are attach with the whole system, and I have no idea how to upgrade the system.

I have about 10 oscommer online shop theme, all are nice, but the oscommerce system are 2005 version, not the latest version.

any one have idea how to upgrade the oscommerce system?

You should check out Magento. It has a lot of nice features and is a nice looking system (comparable to commercial shops) for being free.

Second @turtlepirate. It's crazy what Magento offers for free. The interface is supposed to be a lot easier to use than ZenCart, XCart or OSCommerce.

Well, I've never used Magento myself but I was impressed with the features and decided to use it on my next website. As far as vulnerabilities, it just recently became stable so I don't really know. You can check out it's community forums and bug tracking to find out what the issues are.

Our Miva offering should be an amazing deal for those that wish to use it. For a free solution, I'd suggest zencart. Their message forums are pretty active with users so you can usually get a question answered there pretty quickly if you run into trouble.
