I've given up hope of microsoft ever complying with web design standards. They've went offer the road for far to long and now they continue driving on.
They're a bunch of buffoons. Their plan? To force designers to designer specifically for IE or make double templates for IE.
It just doesn't render a lot of javascript right. It's slow. It's not secure. It hates a lot of xhtml. It's just a nightmare.
I now design with W3C and Web2.0. Forget IE. It's a pile of crap.
If a user doesn't have Firefox and they visit my site. They get a nice banner are the top that informs them the site is designed for firefox compliance and for them to full experience the site they need to download firefox. I then have the nice firefox associates download link right in the banner.
I like having more traffic, but I don't have the time to make double templates. Edit a bunch of my javascript. Double CSS files.
I have however eliminated almost all issues with IE. A few still remain though.
I just don't understand why microsoft won't conform to standards. It puts us designers in a big annoying bind.
Even Google Chrome renders much better then IE and it just came out, lol.
