You will not be able to register a two-character .com name, as all of those went years ago. You can't even get a four-character .com name, as they are all registered.

They would not cost you less than $10 to $20 million dollars. Even 4 character domains do not go for less than a million dollars a piece.

Unfortunately so. If you want a shorter name, you'll have to be creative. Look for shorter and more rare TLD's like *.us. Some things, like http://whurr.us are still free. Also, look into hyphens. For example, http://d-site.net isn't too bad, I was very happy to get it!

Unless you are a professional domain name purchasers with some special domain grabbing software, I would say the likely good of catching a two letter domain name will be 1 in 1,000,300,400,432 ... Which is worse that winning the lottery...

Anyways there are a lot of great domain names out there for purchase and those are the ones I would focus my attention on.
