Default What firefox plugins do you use?

For those of us who use firefox and can handle a browser discussion without it devolving into a flamewar, what do you use? How do these help you?

I use FireFTP for testing FTP logins and functionality. It's a nice little FTP client, for a basic FTP client. It doesn't do FTP server to server transfers, but I have SSH for that
    You can download FireFTP at:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/684

I use torbutton for verifying site availability. This extension requires you to have ToR installed, more info about ToR is available here. Essentially, ToR is a network of proxies. This helps if you're having a problem with your site, and you think it could be a DNS/routing issue with your ISP.
    You can download torbutton here:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2275

I also use DownThemAll! for various stuff not work related, like downloading VSTs and samples. It's pretty cool, you just right-click a page and tell it to download every link on the page using various filters.
    You can download DownThemAll! here:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201

So let's see what you guys are working with, please provide links too incase they look good

The torbutton is cute. I installed it, but I dunno how often I'll use it.

I've got a long list, but my most used would probably be:
Paste Quote - Wraps QUOTE tags around pasted test; useful in some forums.
DeskCut - Right click a page and send the url to the desktop for perusal later.
    Followed by Roboform and StumbleUpon.

Sorry for the late answer, I haven't seen your post.
BBCodeXtra helps you putting forum codes in your posts. When you are writing a post, you select words you want... make bold for ex, and you do right click-> bbcodextra-> bold.

I always wonder how FF actually is faster (technically) than IE?

It isn't, on a base install.

But if you've ever worked on someone else's PC, you find they've installed so much junk it's a wonder IE still runs at all.

That is because Windows charge it on startup.

Try it in linux xD .

    Tony:
Are you counting startup time or browsing time? Browsing time is much faster for me with Firefox on a base machine. Loadup time is quite a different story, because FF has to load all of its supporting dlls while IE already has the entire operating system loaded for its convenience.

Load FF once, then close both out, and reload... pretty comparable. Again... in browsing speed... Firefox spanks IE on the websites I visit.

A lot of people load many FF plugins as well, and then on startup FF checks for updates to FF and the addons. I disable those and the IE update check. That's why I use SiteKeeper.

    My firefox plugins:
    adblock plus
    Bible toolbar [Biblegateway.com]
    Google browser sync
    google send to phone
    IE tab
    minimize to tray
    noscript
    PDF download
    tab mix plus
    videodownloader

Browsing time. You're going to have to give me some examples before I'll believe your premise. Besides, when was the last time you built a machine (base install) and actually tested one against the other?

I'll be building another system next week but I wasn't planning on connecting it to the internet.

Built one on 4/15/2007. After many years I upgraded to a new system.

    Some websites:
    MySpace
    Facebook
    MSN

I do not have an exact timer to back it up, just appears to be faster to me. Maybe it is all in my mind.

I run Firefox on Linux and windows. Firefox is definitely faster than IE7. On my Linux box, i really don't have anything to compare it to. All I know is with a 1GHz CPU and 768MB RAM, my Linux box blows my WinXP machine out of the proverbial water. Actually, my Linux laptop with a 333Mhz PII and 192MB RAM blows the WinXP machine away. It's sad really.... for my WinXP laptop.... it has a 1.8GHz CPU with 512MB RAM. I'd like to put Linux on it, but my wife insists on being a slave to the man.

I am getting used to Office 2k7. It is a lot easier to work with fonts and paragraphs... and well images and tables once you get used to it.

Has anyone used the XP Vista theme?

I use Blueshift as a theme, but that can change on a whim...
