    Not to be a stickler or anything, but I think the "next" step up in speed will be Light Peak. I've had USB3 for nearly a year now. Starting at 10gb/s it will start out twice as fast as USB3. Of course, what they don't tell you in the ad copy is that even at USB3 speeds hard disk drive speeds are maxed out.
