I read some really convincing April fools messages on one of the forum I was visiting. One subject was about Fidel Castro's death and another is a person claiming that his website was seize by the federal government. These were some of the clever ones I've found.
With all the websites actually being seized by the feds lately, I'm not sure that's such a joke any longer.
LOL. You're so right. In the U.S. at least, a lot of sites have been seized and terminated.

We don't have strict laws for web piracy here in Ukraine. Even The Pirate Bay has hosted here for a few months.
However any kind of adult content storage is strictly prohibited. One of the world's famous file hosts: infostore.org was taken down by the government for porn. About a month ago they attempted to terminate porn torrent tracker servers. Surprisingly enough, they didn't find any illegal content. This is how the gov learned the basics of p2p technology lol.
