Default Uplink capacity upgrade - Atlanta facility

We'd like to inform you about scheduled uplink upgrade in our Atlanta facility. The maintenance is aimed at extending uplink throughput. We will be shutting down one of the 2 links, and replacing physical network media. 2nd link will instantly take over, so, normally no connectivity loss should occur. However, unforeseen circumstances are always possible, so brief connectivity issues can happen.

Maintenance window will run from 6AM to 7AM Eastern time, Friday, August 12th. Actual cabling switchover duration is estimated as 15 minutes.

This is two-stage maintenance, we will be eventually upgrading 2nd uplink as well. We will set maintenance window for this additionally.

We will keep you informed on maintenance progress in this forum thread. Thank you for your understanding.

First upgrade phase has been completed without an issue. One uplink out of 2 has been rebuilt. We'll let you know when the 2nd phase is scheduled. Thank you!

2nd upgrade phase has been scheduled Saturday, August 27th, at 6AM EDT. Maintenance procedure would be the same, so same timings apply - 15-minute cable switchover within 1-hour maintenance window.

We'll keep you updated in this thread of course. Thank you for your understanding.

2nd phase has been completed without major issues. We experienced brief packet losses from some locations during routing stabilization, but not longer than 1-2 minutes.

Network is still being monitored, but generally uplink capacity upgrade project completed successfully.
