Default Reseller price increase > 2x

Yesterday, I chatted with online support about the reseller plan. And I
am planning to buy a Reseller-D plan. Today, I found the monthly price
increases from $25 to $55, and no yearly discount and 6 month free.
The old price is $280 for 18 months, Now 18 months cost $990.
It is a big surprise. The Pre-Sales FAQ misleads me.

    In Pre-Sales FAQ:

    Will you raise your prices?
No. We have never raised our prices in our 4 years of business and we do not intend to. Infact, we have increased our features and package limits year on year and we offer this to existing clients when they renew their package too.

Wow, that is a big price increase.

Reading the notes on the price increases, it says that WHB are making the price changes due to extremely fast growth, and this will slow the growth so it will allow them to better support their existing customers. Being an existing customers, I hope this is true and look forward to the results.

I notices WHM Auto Pilot is now included on all plans (as well as unlimited websites hosted). Hope this passes onto the existing (LOYALTY) customers???

    I would imagine new.

Matt and company have stated several times before on this forum that current clients packages will not change.

Nothing is stated that the prices will remain the same for current clients, WHM Auto Pilot? Ive asked for it twice and never got it yet If its on my plan I cant find it Only time will tell if they increase the current client prices as well

Old pricing for current customers. Do not be alarmed, we are actually working on TWO type of reseller hosting plans which would be available to you in a day or two.

There would be start up reseller ==> under $25 per month and advanced plans that would be $25 and above.

The site would be updated soon. Hold on..

Also WHMAP is available to ALL resellers. All you need to do is to send me an email at sm@webhostingbuzz.com with your reseller hosting server and that is it.

    That is a good idea.
But for Pro-D, the price is really big jump, from $280 to $990.

Pro-D IF you pay for the whole year is $660 not $990 but then again it comes with its unique features in terms of resources.

$990 is from 18 months. Because the old price includes 6 months free.

The fresh plans would not have 6 months free so you are correct pricing wise however our professional reseller program is aimed at established reseller hosts out there.

As you must have seen by now our original hosting plans start from mere $5 per month all the way to $55 which pretty much give you a dedicated server like resource in terms of space and bandwidth *considering* the fact that one can get a dedicated box now days for a similar pricing level.

As I said nothing will change for the old customers. You would be on the old pricing and the same renewal deal when it expires. Thank you.

    Unhappy

I think I feel gyped, this thread maketh me looketh at thy plans.

    Cheap Web Hosting - Silver
    Disk Space = 300 GB
    Data Transfer/Month = 2,000 GB
    12 Months Cost = $4.95/Month

Startup reseller hosting program - Startup B
    Disk Space = 20 GB
    Data Transfer/Month = 200 GB
    Monthly Cost = $10

What am I NOT seeing with the advantage I thought I had going with a reseller package over a simple hosting package?

I might be wrong, but I think you will find the difference is that the reseller account has WHM access so you can create reseller accounts. The budget hosting packages will allow you to host mulitple websites, but all from the one "cPanel".

    Cheers,
    Aaron

Aaron is correct. Reseller accounts aren't about space and bandwidth. They are different beasts from standard client hosting accounts. Reseller accounts enable you to create unlimited client accounts, add as many domains as you want, assign quotas, themes and packages, etc. Reseller accounts have a lot more functionality than standard client hosting accounts.

Some people use reseller accounts to create client hosting accounts that they resell, to make themselves small web hosts. Others, such as myself, use them primarily as a convenient means of centrally managing many domains and web sites.

I was told that after my first month here (last month) I would be able to switch and pay yearly and get the free domains and the free 6 months. Now they say I can't, even though the presales chat said I would be able to.

i think webhostingbuzz is the best hosting out there..
so far i've been on 4 different hosting companies and this has been the best one yet. but its kinda confusing because what's posted in the site, forums and support tickets are all contradicting each other. My account is due for renewal in 2 months and I am still confused. And no staff replied to my post that i posted last august.
I've read in the forums that current customers can stay with the plans they have right now even its not offered?
Support ticket said, I have to upgrade to the next plan?

Anthony just send me an email sm@webhostingbuzz.com about this and I would personally sort you out but my condition is that you join our group at facebook (kidding).
