    Default Questions on reseller plan

I started a regular hosting account with WHB a few weeks ago and uptime and speed have been good. I have another reseller account at a different server and would like to gradually move my accounts here at WHB and that is why I have decided to open a reseller account here.

I currently have 30 domains with 4 new ones coming on board in the next 2 weeks. They are almost all ecommerce sites except for a few. We run mostly Zen Carts with a few PHPCarts and one SuperCart. My current server has SPF records available and we do not have to worry much about spammers using our email servers. Do you have SPF records?

We also have mod security and it can be a PITA sometimes but it does give added protection. If I start off with a $25 dollar level reseller plan can I upgrade at anytime? If I start on the $25 dollar paln with 5 free domains, do they have to be used at signup or can they be activated whenever needed and if I upgrade do I lose the chance at the other free domains that are offered on the higher levels? I think I already know the answer to that question.

What certificates do you offer for SSL. I read that you will allow someone to bring they're own with them and that you would even install it. Are single root SSL's ok? Thanks for any answers and your time.

You can use SPF records if you wish. It simply requires an entry in each DNS Zone, which with a reseller account you can do via WHM.

    WHB servers do have mod_security.

WHB will soon be selling Comodo certs, but you can choose to use any SSL cert you want.

Thanks for the thread Alan. I read it and it sounds interesting. A friend of mine uses Comodo and he handles nothing but Cre-Loaded sites. He is really impressed with Comodo. I wonder if Comodo is recognised by all browsers?

I am going to sign up for the Pro A reseller plan as soon as I hear about upgrading at a later time. The reseller accounts would be on shared servers, I wonder at what number of sites would the service and speed start to decline? Is there anyone here that has a larger number of sites that would be able to tell me if server drops off at a certain number of sites/domains.

I have 3 sites that get over 300 visitors a day. thats not alot but it can vary and does average 7000 or so visitors per site at certain months. I was just wondering at what point the servers will slow down. thanks for the reply on Comodo. I will probably sign up in the morning.

You can upgrade/downgrade at any time.

Comodo is one of the most recognised SSL cert providers.

Reseller plan is definitely the smart way to go if you're managing a few domains. Welcome to WHB!

A cPanel Reseller account is to reseller cPanel client accounts, not domain registrations. Once you have a client domain, you will login to WHM panel of your Reseller account, to create a new client cPanel account for that domain.

You can register domains at any approved domain registrar.
