    Default Few pre-ordering questions

    Hey guys.

    Your hosting has been recommended to me but thought I would ask a few questions that I should of asked my old hosts before spending too many hours in front of a PC and then seeing my site wiped out .

    So:

    1. I see you give jail SSH (reading other threads here) access if I can show you why I need it. I usually edit my files on the fly so like to change things via SSH. Would this qualify to let me have SSH access?

    2. I know I should keep my own backups (which I will be!) but do you guys also back up our sites (not sure whether I will be going reseller or shared yet if that makes a difference) and if you do how often?

    3. Support - do you guys have a proper 24x7 support. Hopefully I won't need a lot of support but if I work at silly hours of the morning will someone be there. Only asking as other companies say they have 7x24 support via tickets but don't actually answer anything between 11pm and 8am !!

    4. Is it easy to move from shared > reseller > vps etc if needed?

    I think thats it for now, sorry for the questions but want to get things straight in my head before uploading everything and starting again

    1. Yes, absolutely.

    2. Yes, we do, normally every 48 hours on lower end plans increasing to every 24 hours on higher end plans. A weekly backup is a good idea, if not more often. With good FTP software (e.g. CuteFTP) you can schedule it to automatically do backups for you...

    3. Yes, we do. Technical support and customer service is 24x7. Billing is currently about 8-8 but we have more staff training to cover out of hours billing queries too. We have at least 4-5 people working at any one time and our ticket response time is very good.

    4. Another yes! Obviously we'd like customers to grow with us, so we upgrade all the time. We also credit any payments made in advance towards new plans and will do the file transfers etc if requested.

    yea this is important and many hosting companies tell you to get dedicated hosting even if you anticipate to grow into a year from now!
