    Default Already have a domain name?

    I have a domain name hosted at another place, and would like to buy hosting here, but in the sign-up process there's "Enter your domain name of choice." I'm not interested in purchasing a new domain name right now, but I know you need a domain name to start my account...so what is the process to use my current domain name for hosting here?

    Sorry if that made little sense. XD;

    I think you can use the same because DNS will not redirect to WHB account until you don't change nameservers on your domain control panel. But remember that if you do that, the other account will be inaccessible by your domain and only accessible by IP.

    But it's better to wait to another response .

    You can keep the domain with your current registrar, and simply update the nameservers to the ones we issue you with when you receive your welcome email.

    It's not always that simple, Matt. When my registration was with gkg.net, they did not provide an option to change the DNS. I opened a hosting account with ipower and notified gkg of this, asking them to transfer the registration and closed my account with gkg. I noticed that my site dropped off line so I contacted ipower who said it's up to gkg to move the registration. A whois lookup showed gkg still holding the registration. I contacted gkg and they said it's up to ipower to move it. The two companies pointed fingers at each other for two months before ipower finally managed to change the DNS for me. It was an absolute nightmare with my site off line for two months. Luckily, I had all my files backed up.

    I saved all the emails between me and those two companies over this issue. It still boggles my mind to think they could not decide how to do something they must have done a hundred times before.

    www.namecheap.com are our partner domain registrar. You will not have any issues with using them for your domain registrations.
