    Default Semi Dedicated Hosting Question

    Greetings,
Is there anyone here has a site hosted on a semi dedicated server?

I'm interested in signing up for that plan but I would like to get a feel of the performance for such plan before I move my site from my current rusty server.

I also understand that the performance of the server will vary from site to site but I'm really in pain right now, I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing before I make a move and I'm sure you all know how painful it is to keep moving your site from a server to another.

    Thanks,
    Sam

There are only about less then 50 people hosted on the server. Very quiet server.

Tom we only place around 30-50 accounts on the semi dedicated servers. I do not believe any of our semi dedicated hosting servers has gone down on its own for a very very long time. Hope some other client might be able to jot down his/her thoughts on it. Thanks!

So I'm curious... if "Semi-Dedicated" servers have up to 50 accounts, how many do the shared servers have? What is the real difference between the two?

Shared servers do not have a "limit" based strictly on number of accounts. We basically load the server to a level we feel allows for optimal performance both at the time, and in the future.

However, since this number can be anywhere from 200 and up..that's a lot of different sites that can negatively affect your site. Whether from abusing the site, being attacked, etc...there's just a lot more variables in the picture.
