    Default Pay Pal!

ok i have told many ppl (around my work place as most are web designers) and about 8/10 people said they would sign up to whb in a flash but due to lack of PAYPAL (plus other payment gateways) they wont :S i really do suggest getting a paypal system set up i mean you probably misout on loads of customers due to lack of this service

again just a small suggestion but keep your hard work up

The problem with PayPal at the Merchant End is that PayPal really hates merchants.

well maybe but the thing is , is paypal is probably the most used in the world so from what paypal charge to what whb will get from sales would be like $1 to every $100 for example

see for me to get WHB web hosting i had to open a new bank account as the 2checkout crap didnt accespt my card so i had to re open a new account so i could get on board lol a huge pain in the arse but in the end its been woth it up to now

just i think to highly consider

Yeah, we are skeptical about Paypal to be honest. Honestly, I think it's just as easy to pay with a CC.

Mildly old thread, but I will add my point.

I was about to signup for a reseller account, and found that I could not pay with paypal, that was it, could not go further, I don't have a cc or anything to pay with for 2co.

It is not the ease of it that is a concern, it is the fact, that not everyone has a credit card, not everyone will use theirs online, and those 2 together can count for half of your sales, lost sales.

If you can find a way of being able to accept paypal, even this one time, I will signup for an account with you, but I cannot pay any other way, and it is like this for lots of people.

Is there any news on this? I almost get the feeling like the suggestions are going ignored.

We are very reluctant to add Paypal to be honest. Most people in this day and age do have credit cards, especially as we do aim our services at the 18+ market.

It's not a matter of HAVING a credit card, Many are reluctant to give those credit cards numbers out, especailly online.

I am 26, however, I don't use my CC online, I most likely never will. Paypal is my only option, even if there were more fraud checks or you have to contact sales to pay with paypal, and not add it as a standard payment method, at least it would be feasible. Again, I want to signup an account ASAP, but this is a great drawback and may force me to move to another host.

Can't you get a second credit card with a small credit limit for web purchases? That's what I have.

Me too. But, I've also had that card's number stolen TWICE! My Bank has been good about it so far. Once is one thing. Twice.... well, I get really nervous about using it online anymore. I use paypal for ~95% of my online purchases. I used my CC here, but after much hesitation (2-3 days, during which I researched other options with other hosts). Well, I'm here.

I am still waiting, it sure takes them a long time to respond to feedback, not a good experience so far, its simple, let me pay you with paypal, and I will buy hosting from you, 24 hours, and then I go to HostGator, while they may have less space, their hosting is just as reliable and they accept PAYPAL!!!!!!

I don't think it's that they "don't care". Matt said they have considered PayPal and decided against it. It's a business decision. It's now your choice whether to buy service here or to go somewhere that takes PayPal. Simple.
