Default Roundcube now a STABLE RELEASE

I used roundcube for several months back in 2006. Installed in my public_html directory and just ran it from there. I had no issues, email was stable and the interface, as all know, is plain awesome! Way back then I discussed with support the installation of RC so that we could access it as part of webmail and they promised they'd look into it. Of course, back then, roundcube was in beta, if not "alpha" stage. Well, that's over as of this March.

Roundcube 0.1 is now a STABLE release!

    Catch some screenshots here:

The nasty thing about having it installed in public_html and not with its own port, like webmail's 2095 or 2096 (ssl) is that it fills your logs and all..

Now, that even HORDE IMP has been taken down (Yikes!!) we're stuck with SquirrelMail. I understand that both are a part of cPanel and supported externally by cPanel to a degree, so no updates and no additional Roundcube client, I'm afraid.

I hope they can install this for us. I asked tech support the other day if I could do this on my own. But it would be better if had it's own port.

    Lightbulb Installation on cPanel

According to http://www.roundcubeforum.net/showthread.php?t=2939 installation on cPanel, even including an auto-login feature, is possible.

Roundcube is no longer in alpha/beta stage--it'd be very nice to have it!

Round Cube looks really nice, I'd like to get it!

It doesn't bother me that much that I'll install it myself, I use thunderbird anyway, but when I'm out it'd be nice!

I would really appreciate to have this as a "standard" on all servers It's a "nice-to-have" feature
