Default frequence down time of the server

    Dear WHB,

There are frequnce downtime for the webserver since I start using your reseller server 14

Seriously I really cant affor to have so many downtime. I have few client always question why their blog downtime frequence, and some of them are advance user which use server monitoring website to track the server uptime.

Too many quiry and complaint from my client, they definately will change to other service provider soon, I doubt.

Can your side do any thing to solve this problem on reseller server 14?

this is the daily report from my own uptime tracking system
    Daily report 2008-05-29

    www.privatehoster.com
    http://www.privatehoster.com
    Total uptime:98.12% Downtime:10 hour(s) 45 min(s)
    Daily uptime:100.00%
total down time more then 10 hour... how can?

    Dear Calvyn,

First of all we would like to apologize for such a nuisance with our server. As you know it's adjusted daily for the better performance as it's a new one. We try to do our best to satisfy all your needs. We hope to see no issue with this server in the nearest future.

We can move clients to rs15 at their request. We have been equally disappointed with rs14 but made some kernel changes last night that we hope may improve things.

    hi Matt,

I good to heard that there are RS15 exist, I shall consider to move there. Does RS15 more stable then RS14?

For my working experience this few year with server(my current occupation as an IT Engineer), I feel that the RS14 is really not stable, most server won't have so many downtime in a month, I suggest your side plan some changes over RS14 server

This was a power issue to the rack, unrelated to the performance of RS14.

    Hi Matt,

pass 2 to 3 days, RS14 has down for few time, each time 20min to 1 hour, or even more.

Does each time related to power issue?

I suspect that someone on RS14 is abusing resources. Every day this week there have been periods of excessive load and the server was not very responsive when running webmail scripts.

Today again loads are often above 40. I suspect that there is an abusive account that needs to be terminated and the client and reseller moved to a different server.

I have change from RS14 to RS11, since there are less issue on RS11 according to the reseller server 11's thread.

But recently, almost 1 month, this over load issue keep on happening, and everydays i keep on receive complain letter from my client

    Any advice from member here?

RS11 wasn't a good call. There are 2 threads in the client support forum about RS11. It's been bad for a while now (as I'm sure you just found out).
