    Default Domain Transfer Pricing

    Hi,
I think the domain transfer pricing is too high.

    Example:
15$ to transfer a domain (webhostingbuzz)
9$ to recieve domain (ex: dynadot)
    TOTAL: 24$

    A new domain price: 9$
    Renew: 9$

Its better to buy a domain in a independent registar at 1rst time.

If it's cheaper to register the domain yourself, then that's what you should do.

$15 is kinda of steep but I don't think the WHB process is automated so there is a lot of manual labor checking the domain transfer status.

I use namecheap and stargate as my domain registers.

They both have good customer service and are both amazing.

Little Fun Fact: stargate.com (there website) was the second domain registered in the world after att.com

We are primarily a web host, not a domain registrar. We only charge if you transfer your domain away from us and we need to recoup our own registration costs and make a small profit. I don't think we're unreasonable, most other companies offering free domains charge more than us.

this is the problem that why even WHB give me 1 free domain, I also don't want to use.

Seen like a lot other webhoster who provide free domain on their hosting did not have transfer charges.

WHB does not take serious on small customer, I not satisfy with the way they give excuse.

WHB prices are already so low, it would be unreasonable to expect free domain transfers as well. WHB are not a domain registrar, so they are paying closer to retail price for those transfers, which is not realistic. They offer free domains with some plans, and even that is, IMHO, unnecessary given how low the hosting plans are already.

I'd prefer less focus on low price and more focus on improving service, adding true off-server backups, etc. That would be worth paying a higher price for the hosting.
