Default on server issues and transfers and what nots.

    Good day,

Wouldnt it be a lot better and easier if account holders/clients of this hosting company be emailed of important stuff like servers being moved or being shutdown instead of waiting for them to access the forums?

Not all of us have a lot of time to frequently check out whats new and whats happening in the forums. Specially vital and important stuff as server transfers and stuff.

    Thanks

We are about to switch to a current billing platform for VPS/dedicated to which status announcements will be made. However, there is a forum for VPS carrier servers and with a dedicated, the general network maintenance forum covers this.

That's a good idea Saf. Unfortunately, there are still too many times when the server is down for extended periods but staff do not post any announcements in the forum. I appreciate that they're likely busy handling the problem, but the lack of any announcement then causes us clients to open Support tickets thus causing more strain on Support. Staff need to be more diligent about posting announcements when they are aware of server issues.
