    Default Forum security and others.

My suggestion is very simple. Run the forums under https. You guys run pretty much everything under https why not the forums? Some people (not me) have the same user and password for multiple things so that would be harsh on them.

Also, could we eliminate the need for emails with passwords on them? I don't think that is a good idea.

More also, could we get emails about downtime. I personally don't visit the forums that much and honestly I should not have to come here to find out this things.

It would be nice also if you guys could implement something so when hosting in a server is down to redirect the traffic to some other temporary server to at least display a user friendly message. "Site is down for repairs and it will be back soon...." now that would be really nice.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

I love the idea of redirecting to a friendly "we'll be back" page when something goes down! It would help differentiate between different types of problems, and if you manage a website for someone else, it helps them feel secure in that the website will be back shortly.
