Order Updates
What does Amazon.com, GoDaddy.com, and Dell.com have in common with regards to your online order? Answer: they keep you informed of the status of your order. Why? Because it's best practice to keep the customer up-to-date whenever a transaction has taken place - especially when credit card information has been exchanged.
Why do I ask this? Because I placed an order for WHB services earlier this evening and supplied credit card information with the order. When I hit the submit button, I was shown a 4 digit code on the receipt page - however, nothing else happened. I never received a receipt email containing my order number, what I ordered, or what was to happen next. I'm kind of in the dark about what happened to my order. Was it accepted? Is it being processed? Or, was my order never received?
Do I understand that an order takes time to build? Absolutely. But a simple email saying that "yes, we got your order" goes a long way to keep the customer content. As of now, I can only assume that my order was placed. And what about that 4-digit number that was shown online? What if I didn't get that receipt page? Didn't copy it down? It becomes a useless piece of information if I don't get an email to verify the information is valid and correct.
This is only a suggestion. As a customer, I'm just saying.

Jerry,
Thanks for the feedback and this is something we are aware of. With our new billing system our order process and order emails will be improved.
