Default Sad to see the Bronze Plan stripped of Free Domain Feature

    Hello

I'm been an avid fan of WHB ever since I started with my first domain. WHB offers really good price plans and superb 247 support which is something I'm really proud of whenever I recommend them to my friends.

Also, I always made the emphasis that all budget plans registered with WHB get free domain name(s) for life as long as you're with them - with no additional charge.

With reference to this annoucement, it saddens me that the free domain name feature has been stripped away from the bronze plan.

For a student like me (and many others), the former bronze plan was an ideal plan for us. Although I am not affected by this change, I will no longer be able to boast about WHB to my friends like before.

I hope the company will consider adding back the free domain name feature for the bronze plan, as it will attract many consumers who are trying to keep their webhosting costs to a minimal. Also, it makes your price plans more value for money and price competitive on the web. The consumer is spoilt for choice when it comes to purchasing online as price comparisions are easily done with a click of the mouse.

    Thank you. (:

    Hikoto,

Thanks for your input regarding this.

Our new plans will run for several weeks. We will analyze the sales data and make appropriate changes in the near future if need be.

Rest assured your suggestion has been written down to be considered. Thank you.

Our pricing is and always will be competitive. We decided to test the water with the free domain and it's been very succesful but it has also been costly to run.

When we started offering this, we only offered helpdesk support. We added live support and phone support and not once (and nor will we ever) charged our clients more as a result of this. We employ a team of about 10 just handling the phone and live support.

With our increased costs in mind, this is why we have slightly modified the packages. I still think we're very competitive in the market place.

Also there is no major difference. If you are spending $36 per year for hosting, one can put $8 more and get the Silver hosting plan which comes with free domain.

Since I snuck in under the wire, it's no problem for me to say I think these choices make more business sense. To tell the truth, it would have made little difference in my decision anyway.

    So, good luck.

All of my domains are already registered, so the free domains didn't affect my decision to host here. Price and other features were the main consideration. I only really needed a Silver account but for $6 a year more (if you pay for two years) I signed up for the Platinum account.

I bought the silver plan on the 25th of June (the day the plans changed!) For the record, I had been considering webhostingbuzz.com for about 2 weeks. Frankly, I wouldn't have purchased it as it is now if I hadn't already had my credit card in front of me that day (25 June). Although I'm quite bitter about it, I must say that the hosting service offered has been truly exceptional so far!

To reiterate; I honestly do not think you'll get a better deal; which of our competitors offer 24x7 helpdesk and live support, business hours phone support coupled with our pricing, performance and features?

Most only offer support via the helpdesk - live support and phone is for sales inquiries only.

I'm happy to be corrected but our management team spends a lot of time monitoring our competitors prices and I still think we're top.
