Penguin update deals with scanning through the link profile of a site. We will check the links pointing to the site using tools like SEO Majestic and AHFRES and create a list of Spam and low-quality links. Being as the best SEO companies, we will make every effort to get those links removed like emailing the webmaster. If somehow, we are unable to remove some links then we will use the disavow links tool to devalue the remaining links from harming the site. Apart from this, we will plan a link bait strategy to get some high authority links in order to increase the reputation of the site. This will surely help a site to recover from the effects of the Penguin update.

Absolutely right - get low quality links deleted or disavow them as soon as possible. I would add that at least it's a good opportunity to take stock and learn from mistakes.

Was your site badly affected by the Penguin update because you had used blackhat backlinking practices? If so, you need an SEO strategy that focuses on getting quality backlinks and the removal of the bad links.
