Default How to deal with mail account over quota ?

A client's mail account went over quota, so the account was effectively frozen (wouldn't allow POP connections to download mail, and of course would't receive new mail).

In cPanel, I tried to increase the mail account quota, but cPanel wouldn't allow it.

What's the recommended way to unblock a mail account over quota?
I am not WHB staff and I am not paid.

No. At the time it went over quota, I think the quota was 50 MB.

And what was the new quota you set to unblock the account that didn't work?

Increasing the email account quota in cPanel is what normally solves the issue.

If the account is still blocked after that, there may be other reasons behind it, such as running out of cPanel account quota or the whole disk space. If you open a support ticket and share access to the account, our technical team can investigate the issue for you.

If you are facing issue to increase disk space for particular email ID then you can suspended and again unsuspend the account and re-try to increase he email account quota limit.

The best solution for resolving email quota issues is to create an email archive. This will allow you to move mail from a busy inbox to a local store to free up server space.

The issues happen when a duplicate of the email is left on the server after it has been downloaded to your gadget. This can happen accidentally if your email customer has not been set up to erase duplicates of the mail.In request to settle the issue rapidly, the best alternative is to sign into your webmail and physically erase any old or undesirable messages.
