Customer Impact: A downtime period during each stage

Reason: As a part of our internal hardware improvement policy we have decided to replace HDDs on the server to more up-to-date and stable ones. This measure will improve the functionality of disk subsystem and server performance and stability in whole. The procedure will be processed in 3 stages described below.

Stage 1: We will connect new HDDs to the server. The estimated downtime for this procedure will take about 30 minutes. This stage will start at the time specified above.

Stage 2: We will start the data synchronization from old HDDs to new ones. The estimated downtime is 1 hour.

Stage 3: We will extract old HDDs from the server. The estimated downtime is 30 minutes.

We will post all updates regarding server status in this thread.

The new HDDs were connected to the server. The carrier is online, all VMs were started and are now running in a stable mode.

We are starting the second stage of maintenance.

In this connection, we have disabled all VMs to prevent data corruption and are currently performing repeated data synchronization.

As soon as the synchronization is complete, we will reboot the carrier.

Data synchronization has been completed. We are preparing to extract old HDDs from the server now. When we proceed with this procedure we will let you know.

Old HDDs have been extracted from the server and the server has been booted from new HDDs. All virtual machines are up and running. We continue monitoring the carrier performance closely.

We didn't detect any issues during our server monitoring. The carrier with all its services is up and running in a stable mode, therefore we are closing this thread.
