HowTo: Upgrade OScommerce on current setting and template ?

I having a problem here, I search over a lot place, but did not found any solution

Currently I have few OScommerce with template, the osc version are 2005 version, I would like to have the latest version of osc, but still remain the same template.

Any one have idea how to make it?

In case, your OS Commerce was installed via Fantastico De Luxe you may upgrade to the newer version via Fantastico, too - if the new version is supported (this statement is true not only for OS Commerce). Fantastico provides backups, as well. You can always check software/version availability at the official site http://www.netenberg.com/fantastico_scripts.php.

If no new version is announced at the official site, please refer to the software/script developers and find out, how an upgrade can be performed, so the old date is left (templates and some other things, you may not want to upgrade).

in my case, it might not related to fanstatico, or indirectly related a bit,

let me explaine again, let said i have a customer hosted with some other hosting provider, and would like to migrate to my service. The oscommerce that him/her using are version 2005 with design.

migrade database and install a fresh copy at my server has no issue to me, but how about the template/design.(because oscommerce did not like other, does not have theme directory/theme file)

how to migrade the design?
