    Default How to change dns

    Hi,

I have just bought a reseller starter plan and succesfully uploaded sth (myCv ) n with u in www.edgarsanchez.net

the thing is I have other webs currently hosted with other company all of them under the same domain www.arcocomunicaciones.com , the thing is I want to move everything to this hosting.

    First is the domain.

How do I point that domain to my new server.

I have seen WHM panel has some features that maybe allow to edit dns but I donīt have WHM in my other host.

Which nameservers do I have to point to? And where do change it?

Many thanks in advanced for that

At arcocomunicaciones.com's domain registrar, edit the list of nameservers to specify the ones that WHB assigned to you. If you have a reseller account here, I recommend that you create personal nameservers and use those instead.

    but how?

Does the other hosting company has to do it or can I do it myself?

I just told you how. You login to arcocomunicaciones.com's domain registrar, you edit the list of nameservers to specify the ones that WHB assigned to you.

If your domains are under the control of your other host, you will need to get them to change the nameservers to whatever your new nameservers are. That may or may not be easy to do as sometimes once the domain has been hosted somewhere else, they aren't as interested in helping you.

I would recommend you get that domain transferred to an independent domain registrar so you have more control over making these kind of changes. I use name.com - very inexpensive and they have a great interface for working with your domains.

Get that done first, and while you're waiting, work on getting your files set up at WHM using your ip address for ftp. And as soon as your domain shows up in your new registrar account, you'll be able to change your name servers yourself.
