Updates to the webmail apps are included in builds from cPanel, and would update on our servers as we upgrade cPanel. This is something that is done frequently, but not immediately upon a new release.

Also, if you'd like - You're welcome to run a copy of your own webmail of choice and upgrade/modify it as you see fit.

As Wayne says, WHB does not specifically install or upgrade webmail apps. They come as part of the cPanel package, so the cPanel developers decide when to upgrade.

I highly recommend that people install a webmail app in their own hosting account. It gives you more control, you may customize it as you like and upgrade it when you choose, and you'll learn a lot. I installed SquirrelMail in my WHB account.

RoundCube is in newer cPanel versions. Once stability is checked, WHB should be able to start updating to this version of cPanel.

Note: It's good that they check stability... I've seen first hand what happens when a bad cPanel goes out. Let's just say that "the superiors" (your customers) get a bit annoyed.

    As have we

I know we have the latest stable build on a few boxes in testing, I'll see if a tech can chime in here on when we may upgrade others.

One of the servers I work with just got roundcube. In a word: AMAZING.
I am now drooling for when the rest of my servers get it.
