    Unhappy Tired of "Server Down"

    I keep having nightmares that my websites will die anytime at webhostingbuzz.... on the evening of 7th July my server SS5 Server 75.127.*.52 - [Atlanta NAP] went dead. I came to helpdesk chat.. they said its suspended.. it was Antony S. who said it.. funny.. coz here at the whbserver update thread http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/forum/...splay.php?f=78 he himself made a post that it was actually overload. anyways i begged him to make sure i dont loss any data... i run phpbb forums there you see.

    Anyways, after sleepless nights and loads of phone calls from my users, it was activated on 11th july. What do i see... i lost posts randomly from all the forums dating back to 4th July. My users there were pissed. Ever since i have been taking daily backups every time i login. The user activity reduced to nothing due to the data loss.

    And now... its down again... power failure it says... wonder for how many days it will have no power.... and how much data i will lose this time around. Im tired.. im tired.... there is no hope....

    We had our first ever breaker fail last week, and the new one failed again. Highly unlikely for this to happen in such a short space of time and I've never seen two fail like this in my 8 years in the industry.

    Unhappy Man...Down Again

    Server is down again...how often does this happen...I just referred my client to here and now this...in one month server down twice...Can someone tell me if I should pack up and leave or is it going to get straightened out. Please let me know...my client site I cannot afford to be down...thanks

    Default 20 days, 2 outages

    I've been a client on Business2 server - 75.127.*.228 [Atlanta NAP] for 20 days and posts indicated that the server has gone out twice since then totaling 2.5 hours of total downtime. by my calculations that is 50 times more downtime then allocated by the 99.99% uptime guarantee.

    Were you really suspended for four days (7/7-7/11)??? Are you exaggerating?

    This is during a business week so I wonder if you hadn't contacted someone to get it back up the morning of 7/8? When this happened to us, Matt had us back online within 30 minutes of arriving for work and had the problem solved by that afternoon (by moving us to a different server).

    Now, I know you're angry right now, but please don't take this the wrong way. I run a forum too, but I know it's my responsibility to backup the database daily. There are automated ways of doing this. Lost posts and lost members really can't be blamed on anyone but the site admin.

    Per my original reply, I have never seen two incidents of this happen like this. We do not expect any more breaker failures.

    @ Tony: No Tony, im not exaggerating at all. It was down for that long. The truth is that it does go down every now and then.. even months before this it used to, but that used to be for a few hours every time, but this time it was major. You can actually go to the link i provided that they have downtime for 10, 11 and 12. The truth is that it was down even before that.

    I did talk to onlinehelp with Anton i remember, he told me that my account was suspended... strange? He told me to issue a ticket and promised that it will be fixed within a few hours. I did issue a ticket right away... the number was "HJF-373580". But it didnt come back. Next day at afternoon, i again had to come at onlinehelp and talk with Arkadij, who told me that the issue will be resolved in an hour or so. The website came back that night with all the data loss.

    I know its my responsibility and im not angry, but what if i cant have access to internet on several days. I do take my responsibility on this data loss that i didnt take backup... i relied on WHB i guess... still the fact remains.. it did go down for several days... So how reliable is the hosting and what are the chances of its happening again?

    I have learnt my lesson anyways, im taking backup of all my sites at the moment.

    Well, I'm getting a little annoyed. I just had my site moved to business2 as we were experiencing S-L-O-W page loading or site down and hosts suggested the move to this Atlanta server just about a week ago. I have about 1200 members and so many of them are just getting so tired of this slowness or Complete non-connection. It's down right now. Me, oh my!
