Then you need to change your homepage. When you go to support, it has a dropdown that says "support" and when dropped down one of the choices is "hosting forums".

My reseller server came back up but will only show html pages. It gives a MySql error with any database/program attempt:

Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61)

If what you say is true, then you need to change the way you offer your hosting to rememdy the problem. have'nt you guys figured out yet that all this negative downtime will be detrimental to your future growth and status? My regular site has not been up in a long time, weeks. At this point, I would be satistied with a full refund because uptime has been nill.

I have tried the support tickets and they are closed with no resonse and I have tried the chat area and they tell me to go to a support ticket. This is a catch 22 situation with no where to turn and you guys make it sound so easy. "Just turn in a support ticket". What do you think everyone has been doing. I will try the ticket system again for at least the 10th time but this is getting old. At this point, I just want a full refund for both accounts. maybe it's time to get in touch with the owners.

This all looks very familiar to me. RS16 is having the same problem and all tickets are replied with "we are monitoring the servers" and "upgrade to vps". I am already doing testruns with a reseller account with another hosting firm and it really flies! (as php should) The hardware is the same (8 core/8GB) but the load so much smaller, it's 0,05 to 1 and by no means is it in the 4-11 range I get with the whb server. No more time outs, internal server errors or connection refused.

Results for a server check on my reseller domain:

    WWW: The «www» is accessible!
    FTP: The «ftp» is accessible!
    POP3: The «pop3» is accessible!
    SMTP: The «smtp» is accessible!
MYSQL: There seems to be a problem connecting to «mysql»

The other server does not come up at all and nothing is accessible.

I just read where the tickets were closing as being resolved and maybe that was part of the problem. I have submitted one more ticket about 30 minutes ago so I will see how it goes. The only place that I can log into is the client area but that does not do me much good when I want to set up programs or work on pages.

The reseller account will display an html page but not anything to do with MySql and it seems now they make an anouncement saying that server equipemt is being changed out. I believe it is common pratice to keep sites up as your changing equipment especially if it will take weeks to change. I await a reply to my ticket once again and if it comes back as being resolved, then I totally give up.

Below is what I get when I send in a ticket. Am I the only person who cannot see this domain? I cannot get into the C-panel, I cannot ftp in and I have sent my IP and still nothing. Am I missing something here?

Subject: Site is down Department: Technical Support Priority: Normal Status: Awaiting Client Response If you have any further questions then do let us know. WebHostingBuzz Helpdesk

The problem goes unresloved and they close awaiting a client response which I send with the IP request which they ask for. I don't get it. I cannot see the site, I cannot ftp in and I cannot get into the C-panel. They think it might be a block but they never get back to me and it's like they are not getting my emails.

Do you use a conventional ISP DSL modem or cable modem? Most ISPs assign IP addresses dynamically, rather than provide a static IP. That's certainly the case with most regular ISP plans.

If that's your situation as well, power off (or unplug the power cord) your highspeed modem and leave it off for a few minutes. When you reconnect, there's a good chance that you'll be assigned a different IP. Then try to connect to your site. If your previous IP was blocked, you might gain access using a new IP (unless your range is blocked).

I tried disconnecting the power several days ago. They reset the server a while back and I could use the site for about a week but I have failed to get them to do whatever it is they did again.

Is this server a known spam server or something of that nature? Why else would my ISP block this server or why would WHB block my ISP? I can access all other domains but not this one.

I believe that WHB sometimes blocks IPs when there are attacks or high-volume spam coming from that IP.

Well, I cannot check for any spam that might be happening because I am blocked from everything. I personally do not send over one email a day and from this domain I have not sent more than three total. This is really starting to piss me off. All I want is what i paid for. If I am being blocked for spam then let me the hell in and and I will delete the email account if that will help. I am up against the wall here and theres nothing they nor I can do about it.

It's not a lot of money but I will file a complaint with the better business bureau and also call my lawyer and ask what my options are. At least it may help someone in the future if they have to go through this same crap. All I want is what I paid for, is that too much to ask for. I do not send spam or a lot of emails so if someone is using my email account through an inadequate system and due to problems on their side, then they need to cancel my accounts and pay me a refund because I have had no service since signing up and I have no other options. I know for a fact that they read these forums. If this is not enough warning to get their act together then I have no other choices left. Thanks for your help Alan, at least you tried.

At least they could repoint this domain to my reseller account and move my files over there so i could get on with my building.

I think you misunderstand. If it was indeed spamming that was the reason for a WHB block, it would have been spamming from your ISP connection IP, not from your WHB mail account. So, you would have to check your own PC or any other PC that uses your connection IP.

Did your connection IP change when you powered off and on the modem?
