Default Can't access site php for htp files x-httpd-php error

I have a small site on another cpanel host. I backed it up and uploaded it to the WHB servers. It didn't go that smoothly but it seems to be there. I have 4 addon domains that default to one domain http://traveloffen.com

It won't resolve. I get a list of files but no index. The html index file shows as a php file in the file manager.

When I key in the site directly in the browser I get a message that I have chosen an application /x-httpd-php from http://traveloffen.com
    open with ...or save...???

I don't know where to go now? It took a while but the email is resolving but the web site is not.

Where can I find some answers?

    Thanks

    Doug Offen.

Did you open up a ticket about this?

Members here in the support forum should have a few pointers too.

You appear to have created a redirect to "traveloffen_com". That will be seen as a special file type, which is why you see the run or download option. Correct that typo to "traveloffen.com

I recall seeing that but thought it was something WHB did automatically. I can't find it again to correct the mistype. Can you point me in the right direction again.

    Thanks Alan.

No, it's not anything automatic. It's an error that you created, probably just by mis-typing.

It appears that you have now fixed it.

    HI travel
you have some sql issue's also

have you changed your config file with proper , host, username and password.

    See this http://www.traveloffen.com/cfrh/community.html
    General Error
    SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Access denied for user 'offenon_phpb1'@'localhost' (using password: YES) [1045]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.
So a little work is gotta be done.
When you migrate , we have to ensure few things.
    1.Proper path.
    2.Proper Config file editing.
3.and some times some mods are required to be reinstalled.

    So change in a flow.

and ya this error is also coming blog page.

WHB has the original problem solved.

The database problems persist. I am not a programmer so resetting php data is a lot harder than it sounds, especially to do it with confidence. I can't find any reference to a user or password in the admin php.

Sorry for the delay in answering here, but I put in a help ticket and was looking for a response there. It was slow and I didn't try to find any more replies in the forum.

Where exactly do I make the path, config, username changes and is there only one file to change for each database?

    Thanks for responding.

Are you trolling again to ask forum members to pay you for help? This is intended to be a discussion forum where members can receive assistance from other members. I find it distasteful that you so quickly try to get people to pay you for help, without allowing sufficient time to see if the poster will receive a suitable free answer.

Thanks for everyone's help. I got the forum to work using config changes. But the wordpress blog just wouldn't work out so I deleted it and reinstalled a new wordpress with fantastico.

I will have to re-enter the posts and such but it's done and going to move on.

    Thanks for your help everyone.

You're welcome. Watchout for typos when configuring prefs, paths, directory and filenames, etc. Those are easy mistakes to make, but often tough to spot and fix. I recommend Copy and Paste, where appropriate, are safer than retyping information.

Yeah best way to install free scripts is "fantastico"
It defines proper file permission , path, database connection.
and its a matter few clicks.
