RS15 is fscking. Business 2 is up. Console shows RS15 to be 70% there.s
Instead of just saying it would be fixed, which it has not, be honest with us, the servers are so damn overloaded they are crashing, I ran a check to see how many other sites on rs15 and I was in shock and still in shock, a post here said a figure was much smaller that the truth.
The servers are to overloaded and as long as people pay you are not correcting the issues.
Its all about $$$
The best advertising is word of mouth, hmmm, All I can say is GO TO WEBHOSTING BUZZ AND GET 20% UPTIME HOSTING :-)
(1) Be Honest, were not stupid
(2) fix the issue
(3) overloading a server is stupid, it will cause issues.,

Not up for me O.o
They just don't seem to care anymore, dishonest replies, overloaded servers crashing, over 70 downtimes already, 6 hours just this week.
Get with it whb, There are other companies im sure would be very happy to have your customers,
why pay for services not rendered ??

I don't think they don't care. I just think it maybe a bigger issue then they anticipated and being the weekend they're likely understaffed.
It's not so much a big deal for me right now, but it does bring me great concern for the coming days as my site is going to launch next week and I can't be having downtime like this on my first months launch.
hmm..I could understand if its just one server which is causing problem...but this seems to happen with a lot of other servers...I am on rs16 and that has been also down for the last 5 hours...and many times in the last week...the migration was suppose to take 30 mintues? hmmm please try to have everythign fixed up soon; as your downtime is really starting to question my decision for going with your guys.
If we didn't care, we wouldn't respond to he issues. The problem with rs15 and other reseller servers is that the nature of our reseller plans allows a reseller to add as many sites as they like and one reseller can quickly turn a server working perfectly fine into an overloaded server.
To correct this we have a new reseller program ready to roll out. New pricing, new policies and we are very sure that it will return our standing as a reseller host to where we want it to be.
We intended to roll this out once fully migrated to our new private suite. We had arranged this migration to be this weekend - electrical contracters, our bandwidth suppliers etc were all notified and we had tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment delivered to our suite in preparation.
Wayne and myself were due to migrate the 150 odd servers we have in general colocation racks into our suite over the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Unfortunately Wayne broke his wrist in an accident several days ago so I am having to do the migration myself, hence the maintenance windows being missed. Our contractual obligations mean that we have to be in the suite on these dates. This is why there have been some short outages and a couple of hiccups today as a result of this.
It has only been the last 3-4 reseller servers that have had these problems, attracting the type of reseller who adds 300 high resource usage accounts and causes the problems.
We are addressing this with a change of options available and a change in pricing. We were holding out to do this with the suite migration. This will be done by the end of the weekend and the new program launched next week.
Unfortunately RS16 was on the same breaker that tripped and was undergoing a fsck for a while due to its unclean shutdown.
Rest assured that once everything is done, we will have improved network and power redundancy, plenty of expansion room and be very happy in the knowlege of our power rates and floor space rates for the next 3 years to come.
In today's volatile world, stability is important to us.
I'm sorry, I read this and just had to respond. I can attest to the fact that they very much DO care about us as individuals. Recently I had a very large problem with my account and not only was THAT problem corrected, but they made is 200% clear that my concerns and issues with the service and my displeasure mattered a great deal to them. While no one likes down time, you have to accept that fact that no matter WHERE you go for hosting, even if YOU host yourself... it's gonna happen. It's not a matter of the downtime, it's how quickly it's resolved and preventative measures done to try and minimize it in the future. And in that measure, WHB is really there.
I know for some people it might be a lot to ask, but you really have to have patience and understand that techs are just people and can only work so fast.
As for the concern of downtime... it's really NOT as bad as some would claim it is. Even on it's WORST day it's not THAT bad. Truth be told, while I know my sites suffer from some downtime (mostly because of being subscribed to the server thread and seeing posts for it), I almost NEVER actually witness it personally and I keep some oddball hours.
Hope that helps to alleviate your fears some.
This particular instance of downtime was in all actuality planed and really shouldn't be held against them.
some times while browsing the site recive error 500
and when i refresh the page it works again
i have open support ticket and and 2 times they told me the issue is resolved
but it is not .

This has certainly been an ongoing problem on RS14. We've had intermittent periods of high loads and server errors since last year and have continued into this year. Each time the problems last several days, and it can be frustrating getting Support to investigate properly. Support tends to do a quick fix and then declare the server stable, but the instability and server errors return later the same day indicating that the underlying problem was not solved. Clearly the real solution lies in getting rid of the resellers who cause these issues.
I look forward to more stable reseller hosting. I'm weary of having to repeatedly tell Support that the problems have recurred, and of explaining to clients why they can't access mail or why their site is down.
Thanks for giving us some information, Matt.
