    Default Awstats - impossible to fix? WHB is driving me insane!!

    Ok, this is really starting to annoy me. Over the past couple of months I've lodged 3 seperate tickets, all about the same issue "My stats aren't working!". Each time, I've been told they've been fixed, I (apparently stupidly) believed staff, took their word for it and gave it a few days before checking my stats. The problem is when I manually update I only get the last 8-12 hours stats, where is should be everything since the last time I updated. During each of the few days I waited, I received an email telling me "We are changing the status of this ticket to 'Closed' as we have not received a response from you in 72 hours. " Understandable, but frustrating, as it takes a few days to check to confirm I'm getting more than a days worth of stats. Each time I checked my stats which were apparently fixed and working, I ended up with a big bunch of "0"s. I now have months of inaccurate statistics.

    Can ANYONE actually fix this problem? I'm not sure what the problem is with WHB, either their tech staff are over worked, underskilled, not paying attention or just don't care. After 3 tickets being lodged about the same issue, I'd like to have thought ONE of them would have fixed this seemingly simple problem. I've never had any reason why they werent working, just that they're now fixed.

    Last time around I asked what the problem was to confirm an issue had been found and corrected and simply got "It can be that statistic log zeroed if you're not update awstats recently." I replied to say that that is part of the problem, and when I do update, I still get no stats, only to have this reply "We've set up that for your account. Please get back to us again in case of any trouble."

    Can WHB please install a new stats program or have someone who knows whats going on actually FIX this Awstats issue. I've read the forums and I know I'm not the only one. I fear lodging a fourth ticket will waste another week of my time as I wait for the inevitable "You're problem has been fixed" email, only to find my stats still don't update. Can someone here (staff preferably) help me out?

    I am fast becoming a joke amongst my friends with reliable hosts, and to be honest, I'm not sure why I haven't swapped hosts yet. I used to recommend you to friends, now I avoid talking about it. Please help me out.

    I'll have a senior tech look at it.

    In the mean time, have you considered Google Analytics?

    Thanks Matt, that'd be great. I had a friend also suggest Google Analytics, so I think I'll look into it. Thanks again.

    Alas, on sites that aren't all html GA kind of sucks. Not to mention all those times you see a page hanging on GA.
