    Unhappy Wordpress 2.7 a hog?

    Hi!

    I recently upgraded my blog from Wordpress 2.6.5 to 2.7 and ever since I have getting mails from the admins that my account is consuming a lot more resources. It got my site suspended for a while. The culprit according to their log was the index.php and hence wordpress. I just want know is it just me or anyone else is experiencing the same sort of problem? After using 2.7 for while I hate the old interface and if anyone has found a fix for this please let me know!

    Sid

    Dear tHeSiD,

    The thing is, that new release of wordpress has a modified structure of databases.
    This can increase your blog resource intensity, so we would recommend you to check your blog after having updated it. You need to:

    - check the error_log and find whether any errors occurred while upgrading your WP to version 2.7;
    - check the cron jobs and find out whether some crons are executed for your WP. If there are any - reduce their frequency of execution;
    - check WP plug-ins, and disable those, you don`t need much;
    - limit the comments in your WP (in admin console).

    In case, you need any further assistance, feel free to contact our support team.
