Yes. You can also use the server's IP address to access the server if you wish.

I'm not really following. i'd like to create a new ftp user for an add-on domain.

I'd like the user name to be like this: user

    not like this: user@domain.com

    any input?

The @domain.com is needed to isolate the person to that specific domain which is resides on a server which has many domains on it. If you had a dedicated server, you could.

oh i thought that would have been done by the host name... So I guess theirs no way around it then.... is it possible to change which domain name is set for the account then...

    so it could be: user@domain-two.com
    instead of : user@domain.com

    Hi,

You may request for the change of your account's main domain name in a ticket to our technical department at https://whbsupport.com

I think he means that he wants to set up the FTP account for the NEW FTP user for the add on domain, rather than the primary domain, so shouldn't it be possible to set up that using the add on domain's control panel?

Don't have one myself otherwise I'd check out the drop down at the top of my cPanel to see if there's an option to access the add on domain's cPanel.

He should be able to enable FTP for the addon domain. However, that would be done via the primary domain's cPanel. Addon domains don't get their own cPanel.

Ahh, so create an email account for the add on domain so that it becomes available in cPanel for the creation of the FTP user then?
