Downtime
There's been a lot of downtime between today and yesterday. The last posted maintenance notice was for Thursday and Friday (April 19th and 20th). It's now Tuesday the 24th. So what's going on?
By the way, these past two days, when the service goes down, DNS goes down, the main WHB site goes down, the support site goes down, and this site goes down too. So again what is going on?
-
-
I'm also inquiring about the downtime. Thanks.

There was a brief issue of network latency last night but other than that, I haven't seen any downtime. Could you submit a ticket with the exact times of outage so I can investigate?
-
-
Are you kidding me? It was just down again now, and that's the only time I know offhand. I haven't been writing them down. This very site was down, just a moment ago. I don't know what else to tell you.

my site has been down for 8 hours! I have submitted loads of tickets and keep getting thanks for your co operation! My members on my forum are emailing me wanting to know whats going on! C'mon! How long does it take please?
And yes this site was down too a few minutes ago!

This wasn't/isn't just latency, by the way. Last night when the support site wasn't down I could see PHP errors because your frontend couldn't connect to the database. It seems like services or entire servers are restarting. DNS doesn't even function during the downtime. No web site or pinging application can so much as determine the IPs of my domains.
There's no way this was/is just latency.

It just went down again. I think it goes gown for 10 minutes around the top of every hour.

Ellen, your site seems to be up even during the outages, but there are no files there. If you just upload your site again with FTP I think your site should work. Your forum's database is another story... hopefully that's not lost as well.

I have also been experiencing this downtime, and can confirm that it was just down.

I've been having intervals of downtime since last night as well... but just this morning it's getting REALLY irritating. My sites and email go down as well as your site & support site. In fact, I typed this same message about 10 mintues ago, but this site went down before I could hit 'post'.
Message received is as follows:
Safari can’t open the page.
Safari could not open the page “http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/” because the server stopped responding.

Today 11:57 AM Could not retrieve mail from the account "xxxxx." A connection failure has occurred.
Today 11:58 AM Could not retrieve mail from the account "xxxxx." A connection failure has occurred.

The only reason there was a gap for several minutes is because I turned my mail program off because the failure alerts were too distracting!

What's even more irritating is that no one's even telling us what's going on. I understand that problems happen, but this treatment is inexcusable. I can't believe the way these people are handling this situation. INFORM YOUR CUSTOMERS OF WHAT IS GOING ON.

Open a ticket xD.
Now it's working for me
.
EDIT: Give me some url of your sites I will see if they are accessible for me

Hi,
My site to has disappared (from shared8) and I am unable to us cpanel.
I figured the matter would be solved in a couple of hours but it has now been over 4 hours since I noticed.
I had been unable to enter a ticket until just recently. (site down?)
I agree that some notification as to what is going on would have been nice.
Hope things get resolved quickly.
update
Looks like a HD is being replaced, hopefully it will be back soon

I've already had someone check from outside my location already. When it goes down, it's down from everywhere. And thanks, but I'd rather keep the discussion here than in tickets. More motivation for them to get this resolved if we leave it nice and public rather than making it secret.

Yep, I had the problem too, so nothing to say, it goes down and up :S . It's like the network, but some parts only, cut for some time... (I said some parts because my server is up all time until now).
Luck with the problem, and hope it get resolved faster than possible
