    Default Entropy Banner

    I am trying to use entropy banner on one of my sites. I uploaded it and everything per the cpanel. I then copied the script into the page. When i do a preview of the banner in cpanel it shows the first one. My problem is when i go to the site there is just a broken link image. I copied the script that they said word for word.

    Any suggestions.

    Is it possible that you made an error when editing the path information to the images? Could it be using the path specified in the script you downloaded rather than the real path in your account?

    You know i thought that too, and the image does show in the preview in cpanel. and i even changed that banner profile to <!--#include virtual="http:/www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/entropybanner.cgi"--> and tried that, at least that time i got an actual error.

    That is the code i am using now on my site.
    <!--#include virtual="cgi-bin/entropybanner.cgi"-->

    It's a reseller account with it's own are so the public_html is seperate from my main account.

    I am having the same problem when using cpanel and that code. The thing that really confuses me is that on the cpanel documentation page it states:

    On the main Entropy Banners page, copy the text that begins with <!--#exec cgi and ends with --> and paste it into the web page’s HTML file.

    I don't know about you, but I didn't see any code starting with <!--#exec cgi

    The correct code to be inserted into the .html file is:
    <!--#include virtual="cgi-bin/entropybanner.cgi"-->

    After the code is inserted the file *.html must be renamed to *.shtm or *.shtml

    From this point on you can use the cPanel to upload the banners (cPanel-> Software/Services-> CGI Center-> Add Banners) and to modify the priorities and links (cPanel-> Software/Services-> CGI Center-> Modify Rotation)

    I dont want to sound stupid but how do you save the file to .shtml or .shtm?
    I am trying to use entropy banners too and all I can see is the code I put in. The banner doesnt show.

    Im not quite sure what to do.
