Complete noob help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no idea what to do, I have created many websites but have never published them. I need a how to for the beginner to walk me through getting my site published along with domain registration.

Hi Sharman,

I'm not too sure how you can create websites but not know how to publish them, but I'll see if I can help you out a bit.

First, getting the domain and getting it set up are pretty important things. The good news, is WHB is great about helping with things like that. Just submit a support ticket, and they'll magically make your domain name resolve to your hosting.

In order to put your website on line, you will need to connect to the server and send it the data. I don't know what program you're using, so I'll be kind of generic.

Your website is a bunch of files on your computer, and the File Transfer Protocol, or FTP is what you'll use to upload the files. You have an FTP account as part of your WHB hosting package. You can use a software, such as FileZilla, to connect to your server via FTP. Once that's done, you just drop your files into the public_html folder, and Voila! what you've put there is now viewable to people who go to your domain name.

Hi, Sharman. Do you mean you have built the sites but still didn't set up domain names?

If you have already registered your domain names at registrar company, then now you just need to point the Name Servers of these domain names to ours, you can find the Name servers of the server your account is hosted on in the weclome email that we have sent to you, or you can go to our Live Chat and ask Sales-Presales representatives to help you, we shall gladly provide you with the Name Servers. You should remember that all of our budget servers have the following Name Servers:

Primary Nameserver: ns100.whbdns.com
Primary Nameserver IP: 69.72.187.106

Secondary Nameserver: ns101.whbdns.com
Secondary Nameserver IP:209.51.130.250

If you haven't registered them, then there are a few ways: 1) if you still have free not registered domain names that came with your package, you can open a ticket at whbsupport.com and our billing dept will register them 2) go to some registrar company and register domain names - then point them to our Name Servers.

Also you will need to add these domains as addon domain names in your cpanel (after pointing the Name Servers).

I need to set up an addon domain and have to point my new domain to the appropriate nameservers.
