    Default DNS problems?

Is anyone else getting domains not resolved on shared hosting?

I have 4 accounts, 3 shared, and they all suffer from non resolution at WHB?

The VPS dedicated account does not have this issue.

    smartmaniacs.co.uk resolves for me.

Test your domains using a web tool that will attempt to connect from multiple geographic points. Then you'll know whether there is really a problem with the server, or if it's just a problem with your connection.

    Thanks Alan,

smartmaniacs is on the VPS, it was one of my shared accounts that was not - I'm a MCSE + I, and use DNS Stuff for troubleshooting.

Every time there is an issue the WHB nameservers are reported to be failing.

It's working again now, so fingers crossed!

Well, you posted it, so naturally I had to try it. Why is ns100 throwing a "Recursive Query" failure?
I could use the nameservers listed below to performe recursive queries. It may be that I am wrong but the chances of that are low. You should not have nameservers that allow recursive queries as this will allow almost anyone to use your nameservers and can cause problems. Problem record(s) are:
    69.72.187.106

    Hello,

You see, ns100.whbdns.com is one of the servers of our DNS cluster. Just recently we had to perform some piece of work on the given server’s productivity. But unfortunately it appeared to be impossible to perform this with the current hardware platform. In connection with this we have made a decision to order fundamentally new powerful server for ns100.whbdns.com; after this we should have transferred all the information to it. We have mentioned concerning this on our forum earlier.
The server migration to a new hardware passed successfully. But such a transfer also implied the change to the newer versions of named service and it implied the change in the principle of the given service setting. But we still have debug the work of our server regardless of the fact that we have a few small nuances that are being fixed in the process of the work of our dns cluster ‘s the given node. And at the moment you can test your domain name once again. And we can assure you that you won’t receive the result you have described that you have obtained in your previous posts.
