Default public_html folder in public_ftp folder?

While looking around for anything suspicious I notice that within public_ftp there is a complete copy of my public_html folder. This copy looks to be old. I know I did not put this there and I am baffled as to how it could have got there?

Is there any reason for this to be there? I'm assuming its safe for me to delete it, right? I have never once used public_ftp and it seems like I read someplace that WHB doesn't allow anonymous ftp which is what I believe this is used for.

On an unrelated note when is Platformic Beta Testing going to move forward? Its been like a year now and I'm still waiting for access, if there is anything to access that is.
    Thanks,

Yea thats nice. After so long I'm in the frame of mind now of "I'll believe it when I see it".
Its smelling a lot like vaporware to me.

I'm more interested in my other questions please.
    Thank You,

    Hi,

Yes, all the data available via http shold be kept under public_html. You can safely remove files from public_ftp.

It's certainly not vaporware. Have a look at some of the sites that it's powering, e.g. www.csnphilly.com

It is currently in the transition from enterprise level CMS/site builder to a more mass market option, aimed squarely at web designers / resellers (people like a lot of our client base).

I do understand its a real product and vaporware was not possibly the best choice of words. But considering this was supposed to have happened sometime last year and we are still waiting that is the term that came to mind. A year is a long time when everyone kept saying its coming real soon.

    [Edited to add whats below]
The definition of Vaporware from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware :

Vaporware is a term used to describe a product, usually software, that has been announced by a developer during or before its development and, therefore, may never actually be released.[1] The term is usually applied to products which fail to emerge after having well-exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product....

"after having well-exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed"

While they do have another product that is available, this one for web hosting providers has not emerged as of yet. We was told more than once that it was "coming soon" from WHB and Platformic staff. I think we can say that after 1 year that it has well-exceeded the period of time that was announced on these forums. So my use of the term seems very fitting imo.

Having backed up my use of the word Vaporware I really would like to see this happen as I'm sure many others would. It looks to be a great product whenever they get it out the door so to speak.
