    Default Unable to delete stuff

I recently made a full backup, and in the process of doing so I ran out of disk space (I now have -197.36MB free, to be exact). So I really should have done the math beforehand, but now I'm unable to delete the backup. I get this error message over by the trashcan:

Unable to create trash folder. You do not seem to have the necessary permissions! (System Error: Disk quota exceeded)

Soooo I'm kind of stuck here. Is there any way for me to delete this file in order to free up my disk space? I thought of "editing" the file and just deleting everything in it, but seeing as it is ~400MB I haven't been able to open it to do that..... well anyway, where do I go from here?
