Default problem overwriting html pages when uploading

    Hello,

I run the website for a friend of mine through WebHostingBuzz, and I have been trying to update it today. I have created new pages to replace old ones, but when I upload them, the old ones are still there when I view the website. I know I am overwriting them because I click "yes" to the question about if I want to do so, and other times I tried to check the box to write over before I even uploaded. Also, I clicked the code editor right there in my file manager to check the code, and it is the new page that I uploaded over the old one. The code is right in there, but still, when I type in the URL, it takes me to the original page I had before uploading today, http://www.healingspiritmqtmi.com. Interestingly, when I look at http://www.healingspiritmqtmi.com/index.html, it is the new index file I tried to upload, but ending just with .com is the old one. This is happening on a couple of other pages as well.

I was wondering if this was a known problem that was being worked on or something that I was doing wrong. I can't figure out what, as I've done this many times before without problems. Any ideas would be very appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jen

This sounds like a caching problem to me. Either your browser, your ISP or even a router along the way is possibly caching the old web page. I suggest you try either F5 or even better hold down CTRL and then push F5 to refresh the pages that are not giving you the results that you are expecting.

CTRL+ F5 forces your browser to redownload any items that may be getting cached along the way regardless if they have changed or not. This works in all major browser that I know of with the exception of "Opera"
    Thanks,
