Default Control Panel & MySQL IP Address

After creating a database, I only see its name that I myself entered, but there is no easy way to find out what the IP address of that database is from anywhere on the CP.

Could anyone shed some light on how to figure out the IP address of the new created database?

if you're on shared hosting, you have a single IP for all the services.
it's the one your web site resolves to.

    Thanks.

Where would I locate it on the Control Panel?

In X3 theme it is 'Shared Ip Address' on Stats on the left of cPanel home page.
You may also use nslookup web sites to check your domain's IP such as this one:

    http://www.kloth.net/services/nslookup.php

Although you're probably asking that for script settings.
Then you just need to use 'localhost' or '127.0.0.1' as the database host/ip.

Is there a way to log in from MySQL Administrator (not locally)? I tried it and it didn't work. There was a long pause and then the connection timed out.

    Dear Gregsometimes,

Remote MySQL access is prohibited on all of our shared servers. It can be allowed only on VPS or dedicated servers.
