    Default Time Problem in Joomla Site - possible system issue

    EDIT: As it turns out, this is probably not going to be a system time/date issue. I'm now thinking there is something within this component I installed which is telling the article manager the start publishing date should be 1999. I'm still looking into it but I don't think we need to research this end of the problem any further.

    Thanks!

    I've checked everywhere for this one including every inch of the Joomla boards and there seems to only be one reasonable solution. The "Start Publishing" date within my Joomla site at http://www.groovygamer.info/main is defaulting to November 29, 1999. This has not always been the case but suddently began happening recently (not sure exactly when). Per my numerous conversations with Joomla pros it seems that a possible cause could be an incorrect date/time on the server which hosts the web site. My time zone is set correctly within the global configuration section of Joomla and just a month ago, the Start Publishing date worked fine. Is there any chance something is wacky with the server hosting my site (afamilyaffair.org)?

    Thanks as always for your assist!
    Peace!

    There may be an easier way to get this in Joomla (I don't run it), but I suppose you could log in with ssh and issue the "date" command. Or just open a ticket.

    P.S. You can always do something silly and edit the index template to include a line like:
    echo "Server Sez now iz:" . date('l jS \of F Y h:i:s A') . "<br />";
