    Default Php 5.2

I have some PHP requirements that require PHP 5.2 but the current infrastructure that my sites are on are at 4.2.11. Can my hosting environment be upgraded or moved to a newer version?

    Dear LTParis,

You can enable PHP5 in your local .htaccess file using line like:

    AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .php .php4 .php3 .phtml

WHB servers have both PHP 5 and PHP 4 installed. So far the .php extension defaults to using PHP 4, but as Helen K said you can change that default for your site.

Wasn't the last update for PHP 4 like two years ago? Seems a bit risky to keep it as the default on the servers.

We have php4 default on the old group of servers only with all possible vulnerability fixes and patches setup.
