Default Thunderbird email settings don't work

I had Thunderbird do the automatic set up for a new email account (I have several) and then followed the WHB page about setting up TB after the auto is done.
    See page at webhostingbuzz.com/wiki/Mozilla_Thunderbird_3

Then, I was able to receive IMAP emails but cannot send. I uninstalled and did it all over without changing the auto setting and still cannot send. I removed the "mail." from "mail.myname.org" and still cannot send. I tweaked the other settings to match other email accounts with other domains that DO work and still no success.

Customer Service number is busy for the last hour at WHB, so I searched forum here with little success.

    Any suggestions?

    Default

In such situation TB should provide you with the reason why it can not deliver emails to our server. Did you receive any messages from it?
I suppose that the source of the issue is caused by incorrectly setup SMTP authentication in your TB. But it is only an assumption at this moment.

Anyway you also may submit a ticket at https://whbsupport.com and provide us with more confidential information (email login, IP, etc) which should help us to resolve your issue.

    Thank you.
