The recent email tells you how to find your site's sever name when it is running but when the server is down you cannot access cPanel. I would like to share a tip with you on how to quickly find the forum for your site's server.

ping your domain name. ignore the timed out messages and instead look at the ip address.

Then go to the appropriate forum and do a search for your ip address but replacing the 3rd digit with a *

I keep a list of my server names in a desktop sticky. And of course I'm subscribed for instant email notification in both the Announcements forum as well as my server forum.
