I hope you guys get this resolved quickly but also a warning before a big change like this would have been appreciated.
    A warning was posted

Fish was one of the last servers to be done in this round, meaning you had a few days warning.

Please submit a ticket for said problems and reference the ticket ID in PMs for me to look at.

    Thank you.

There was a warning that this change was coming. It was posted in the Announcements section.

Where was this notice posted? I obviously need to add this to my regular reading. This has caught me unawares, and in the two and a half hours since I posted my ticket I've been reading these forum pages, piecing this together.

    Thanks,

    Michael

    The ticket # is #RLR-597399

It wont let me PM you. Also there is a whole thread on the email issue under the client support issue. At least one other user on FISH also posted the exact same problem and said they had a ticket open with no response.

In reagards to "It was announced". Where was it announced? It wasnt posted under our servers forum which I am subscribed to for email notification (assuming my emails actually worked).

Who the heck goes to their web hosts forums and reads it every day? You can't expect your customers to read over these forums and seek out any updates that may affect service.

True, you can't. However, there is a subscription option that allows the forums to email you once a new topic has been posted. In this case, you'd want to subscribe to the Fish and Company Announcements forums.

And this thread you're posting in was the announcement.

This one: the one that says in the description "Non-service affecting announcements can be found in here".

My email is fubar, and my ticket is five hours cold. I still want to say I appreciate the effort to give us enhanced service at no increased fee, but what's really important to me right now is that my email start working again ASAP and that it never die without me seeing it coming again.

    Thanks,

    Michael

fricto nailed it. This forum, by its own description, was not meant to announce things that affect our services.

Sorry, I was assuming I was posting in the other thread for some reason...

    http://www.whbstatus.com/showthread.php?t=1129

It's under the network and datacenter announcements, affecting all users.

Fair enough. It isn't my desire to accuse WHB of treating me poorly - they certainly meant well, and things go wrong for all of us. I do, however, hope that the problem is being worked on and will be solved soon, or at the very least that I shall soon know when it will be solved.

Thank you for the link to that forum, I will go have a look and see if I can have email updates sent to me in the future.

Yes, my qualm at this point is not as much that I wasn't notified that service could be interrupted, but in the fact that it was.

Then there was apparently no email testing done to verify that indeed the new "Feature" was working, and we have this problem which support has been aware of, it's affecting multiple users, and has not offered up any information in many hours.

Actually, I've been beta-testing this new service for a while. I've not had any problems on my end.

I don't use any of the email services that WHB offers but I was thinking of setting up a redirection to bounce all mail that is sent to my domain to go to my home email instead.

I have a shared Gold hosting plan. Will this mail foundry filter out the spam for me before it is bounced along to my home account?

Do you have to configure anything for it to work?

I'm on the Platinum account. I'm sure it will filter out before redirecting to your home account. There's nothing to configure, so to speak.

There's the information I posted in an earlier post concerning the system from my experience.

    This actually will work.

As the mail is scanned before it hits the cPanel server and cPanel redirects it..

    I want spamassassin back!

Most of the spam was under control with spamassasin
I was successfully filtering most of the spam.
    Now I’m going from 1 spam a week to 30 a day

I hope you still provide the old way as an option, as this is not going to work for me.

Default I don't think MailFoundry is working on my domain

    Nick -

I'm on FISH, which has been converted to MailFoundry. My domain is thebluelion.com.

I have been using SpamAssasin successfully for a few years now, and as of this past Friday (Aug 24th) I am now getting allot of unmarked spam (no SpamAssasin marks ... I'm assuming you disabled it).

I'm still getting almost 100 spams a day and I don't believe I'm getting the MailFoundry summarized emails...what is in the from field of these msgs?

I'm interested in getting MailFoundry working, as I'm very overwhelmed with spam right now ... help

    Thanks,
    Crazy

So SpamAssassin is no more? I didn't see it on my cpanel.

I'm on cat. I did not notice an interruption (but I've been out of town). Spam has decreased greatly. Good move from where I sit.

    Hi Alan,

"He" is a legit company address and has sent me several emails. I redirected to that address for a day, so he will have got my day's load of spam. I took him off the redirect the next day.
