    Default Forums migration

Forums will be migrated to new hardware today, and URL will also change.
    New URL will be http://forums.webhostingbuzz.com.
Also we'll set up a redirect from current URL, so it will be usable.

Forums have been successfully migrated. Official (licensed) URL is http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/forums/, but you can still use the old URL.

    Good job Den

If anyone is wondering why we moved the forum, it's purely to help our SEO efforts.

It would take probably 1 second more to type the complete URL manually but I think our beloved clients would not mind it.

This url has a redirect on it, does Google not hate redirects?

No, that is not correct. If the redirect is done properly, such as with the correct code for a permanent move, it in fact provides useful information to the search engine. Search engines do hate meta refresh, which people often mistakenly refer to as redirect.

I dunno, there's something wrong, because I couldn't find the new forum without contacting support.

I'm still getting the old forum at http://www.whbforum.com/, but with no new posts.

    Tony,

That's my fault. Domain "whbforum.com" was parked on top of "whbstatus.com", but it wasn't widely used, we used "whbstatus.com" for all purposes. I just forgot about "whbforum.com" setting up redirects. And you happened to use exactly this domain instead of "whbstatus". I've corrected redirects, both domains are working now. Thank you for noticing this.
