Thank you Alan for all of your help and follow up... You guys are awesome.

For point one I started to type it out that way but then I thought... UGH Sory

For point 2, I have no clue on how all this web stuff works, one server or two same not the same... UGH I still really dont get what is happening when I make these changes. But I will make them..

For point three OK, here on WHB on the same server, I get that...

I am sure if I post up problems when I make this change you are gonna run like forest to the hills... LOL run forest run.....

    Thanks again Alan!

    Chris

Actually it's not really "you guys" as a collective. Maxim is WHB staff, but I am not. I'm a client, like you. I just happen to have long experience at creating web sites, configuring cPanel, troubleshooting DNS, etc.

You're welcome. Once you see the Park or Redirect working, it will be like magic.

But you will need to never put link to the root like: www.thissite.com/folder/page.html

better get all links in the second server like: ../../page.html

If not you will return to old server name...

That's correct. It is better to use relative URLs rather than absolute URLs.

I have always been a WHB customer. The Caoffroaders.com I bought the 5 year plan and that is what just lapsed. I renewed it when it expired since I was not ready and did not have time to deal with this cross over. I think I may have gone about it wrong now. But seems there is a resolution.

I understand this a little better now.

So My assumption is to send a billing trouble ticket to Close the caoffroaders account and remove it.

Once closed follow your instruction at goodtimesoffroading cpanel and and add caoffroaders as a parked domain.

Now when caoffroaders is requested it will just open up at my goodtimes offroading site.

So nothing else needs to be done thru namecheap since it is already pointed to WHB?

Will there be a propigation period when caoffroaders is parked at goodtmesoffroading?

As long as I keep registering the domain caoffroaders it will be parked and work?

Last so did you even like my site? LOL Over 80 videos of our adventures... Good times Man good times!

Alan thanks for all your help sorry for frustrating you I tend to do that to most everyone but am a pretty good guy for the most part. Heck I have been doing these sites for my buddies for over 6 years...

Thank Max for putting it all together! I know Alan was taking me down the same road but I was not helping the situation...

    Chris
    Hi Chris,

    You've understood it right.

As the domain is already pointed to our DNS cluster, there's no need to edit anything with NameCheap or wait a propagation period. It will work Ok right after parking till expiration.

    The site is nice

It is prolly me that is missing something here but I went to Name cheap looked at both of my nameserver info and they are the same for both domains. I dont see anywhere to do anything with nameserver ips. do I need to?

Both of my domains are ns100.whbdns.com ns101.whbdns.com for nameserver...

Then I have the IP's for the name server but dont know what to do with that if anything...

    daviddwillson,

No need for you to add IPs as long as you are using the regular WebHostingBuzz name servers:

    ns100.whbdns.com
    ns101.whbdns.com

There's a 'Nameserver registration' option inside the NameCheap control panel to use for PRIVATE DNS registration:

    ns1.yourdomain.com
    ns2.yourdomain.com

Once you have assigned an IP to each of your private name servers under 'Nameserver registration', you open 'Domain Name Server Setup' tab to apply them.
